Francesco Antonietti
Artist's Statement
Francesco Antonietti studied Art and Art History at the Eindhoven Academy in the Netherlands. He started as a teacher but since 1976 he works as a professional artist. Characteristic for his work is his feeling for fine details which can be seen in his oil and acrylic paintings and his pastels and etchings. He gives courses in different techniques. On this website you can see a selection of his work.
My paintings are moments of experiences in nature. The simplicity and silence are attractive to me. Most of the time I try to paint the sea as an unlimited source of beauty. The sea speaks a universal language.
I live in the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands, where the sea has a prominent presence. I hope you enjoy the artwork.
